FAQ

Q: What is VOIP?

A: Voice over IP (VOIP) sometimes referred to DigitalPhone, is a technology that allows you to make calls using your broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. As long as you have reliable internet service you can have a voip service in your home/office

Q: How good of internet do I need?

A: The recommended speed is 3mb up/down for 3 of concurrent calls. A VOIP call only uses around 100 kps, which is hardly noticeably on today’s bandwidth packages. The main thing is that you have a reliable internet connection  with no jitter ( internet speed is constant).

Q: Do I need a special phone?

A: Although there are IP phones (Grandstream IP phones etc) you can keep your existing phones by using an ATA (Analog telephone adapter)

Q: what is an ATA?

A: It converts the voip service into allowing you to use analog phones. you connect it to your router/modem with an ethernet cable and then you can plug in your existing analog phone into it.

Sample: *Note some ATA boxes allow only 1 analog phone
